As a kid back in the 70's we had two bean bag chairs and I recall them being my favorite place to sit. I deal with back pain from an accident and often cannot find a comfortable place to relax so with my past memories in mind, I went on the hunt for a bean bag chair. I'll usually do a bit of research and comparison shopping before I'll spend more than a $100, which I did for this purchase as well. I found that Hayneedle had the best prices and by far the best selection of bean bag chairs anywhere! I will admit that it was (and is) pretty heavy to move and its much larger than I anticipated a 5 foot bean bag chair to be. It nearly consumes the free floor space in which I'm using it. Upon taking it out of the box, I had to spend a good deal of time breaking up the compacted fuf foam pieces for it to take shape. The fuf foam, to me, is a pro and a con. It's very comfortable but it doesn't move with your body motion like a polystyrene bean bag does. Once you're in the chair your body impression will stay in the chair until you lift it and shake it around, which is no easy task. In retrospect I wish I had ordered a smaller unit for saving some space but at 6' tall, I enjoy that I can actually lay full-body on this bean bag chair. I would definitely refer friends to Hayneedle and to this bean bag chair! Great company, good prices and fast shipping!

When I received the shipment one day late, 6 inches of the top of the bean bag was protruding out of the box. Someone had just put tape over it and didn't bother to pack it back into the box correctly. Though I'm not sure if that was possible. I had to tear the box up just to get the bean bag out of because it was so compact in the box already. If you wish to order this bean bag and be able to sit on it comfortably right out of the box, that won't happen. It comes out of the box like a hard cube. I called the company and they told me it would only take 2 days to open up to normal size. Well, it took 3. And I do find it's a bit lumpy. Would I order this again....probably not.

My 16 and 13 year old boys love this chair. They received it as a Christmas gift and have been using it ever since. I would highly recommend this product. It takes a bit of time to fluff it, but it is worth the effort. Seems to be well made too ~

Still a few firm lumps after 2weeks of mashing and tumbling the bag , but kids love it and looks nice in our game room.

A: It can take up to 48 hours for the bean bag to fully expand. After it has expanded, it should be 2/3 to 3/4 full.
